The Archbishop of Los Angeles treated representatives from Latin American communities to a special dinner. On September 5, 2024, he hosted a gathering of Mexicans and other Latin Americans to highlight the upcoming celebration of the Virgin of Guadalupe at the San Gabriel Mission in early December. Archbishop José H. Gomez expressed his excitement about starting the festivities with a focus on uniting immigrants and promoting peace. Some of the guests included Monsignor Diego Monroy Ponce, representing the Guadalupe Collegiate Chapter, Luis Ruiz, the President of The International Parliament of Education, and businessman Martin Achirica.
