On September 5, 2024, Archbishop José H. Gomez of Los Angeles hosted a special gathering at the Cathedral's Chapel of the Virgin of Guadalupe. Joining him was Monsignor Diego Monroy Ponce, representing the Mexican Episcopacy. Together, they welcomed distinguished guests including Luis Ruiz, President of The International Parliament of Education, and international figures such as writer Martin Achirica Ramos, sculptor Jorge Ismael Rodriguez, and Guadalupan expert Dr. Arturo Rocha. Prominent U.S. business leaders were also in attendance.
